Offer Print only where something can be printed, and show the options that matter first.

Best practices

  • Offer Print and Share only where there is something to print or share.
  • Show the options that matter, such as copies, printer and paper size, before printing; add an ellipsis to the title when it opens them (“Print…”).
  • Printed output uses the light appearance and the product’s wordmark; screens don’t need it.
  • Shared links open the same view the sender saw, and respect the recipient’s access.
