Best practices
- Be clear about the source. Say when something is generated or suggested by AI.
- People stay in control. Suggestions are shown for review and are never applied silently.
- Scope it to the task. Offer assistance where the work happens, with a way to retry, edit or undo, and progress described in specific words.
- Keep data private. Prefer on-device models, and say when data leaves the device.
- Always offer the manual way to do the same thing.
- Admit uncertainty. When a suggestion may be wrong, say so, and make checking it easy.
